Down Second Avenue【Book Review #2】

It was Saturday night. The street lights were on and there was a misty light over the slum location of Marabastad. Everyone was alert, watchful, especially the women. I was watching for the light from torches. I think now that the torchlight was very harassing to us. It was always like this: Saturday night and police torchlights, Saturday night and police whistles, Saturday night and screams, Saturday night and cursing and swearing from the white man. And I was only thirteen.

Down Second Avenue is the story of Eseki, a young boy who, during his growth into adulthood, becomes slowly aware of the injustices, poverty and fear which are a normal part of life for black people in South Africa.

If the above is also a quotation, it needs to be marked as such.

1984【Book Review #4】

His finger moved on the table. He wrote in the dust:  2 + 2 = 5 ‘ They can ’ t get inside you ,’ she had said. But they could get inside you. And when they did , something inside you died. The world in 1984 was divided into three regions , ー Eurasia , Eastasia and Oceania. Lives and thoughts of people were controlled by the governments , which also means nobody couldn ’ t have own thought. The main character , Winston , lives in England , where belongs to “ Oceania ” and works for Big Brother , the head of “ Oceania ” . Winston is against for him but others  support him without any questions. He is losing his past under the control , but found the manipulation of the party. Also , he is in love with Julia , one of the Big Brother Party , which is not allowed. However , his longing for her just grew and grew... After reading , I supposed what I could do in this world. I felt there is something real in this book. And I could understand what the cover of this boo

My Game Life

Hi! What's up? Today, I watched WWDC online, which is Apple's conference for developers and fans. The event was started streaming from 2:00 a.m.(JST). That's is why I'm sleepy now... iOS11, new MacOS, new iPad Pro, iMac Pro, and HomePod are a little exciting for me. Strictly speaking, I was not especially surprised at these  this time. Anyway, Today's topic is My Game Life. I spend my weekend on playing video game. My favorite is Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 is based on WWI. Weapons, vehicles, buildings... everything are described minutely. I like to study history, so playing Battlefield 1 allows me to learn the history. They'll provide us new contents this month. I can't miss it!! You can ride a horse and fight enemies. I want to share my other favorite video games, so I decide to post a blog about video games which I recommend to you! Don't miss it!!

I, Robot【Book Review #13】

"Ninety-eight! Ninety-nine! One hundred!" Gloria was standing by a tree as she shouted the numbers. She opened her eyes and looked around. She could not see Robbie anywhere. She slowly moved away from the tree.       I, Robot is a story, written by Issac Ashimov, about a society in which humans and robots live in and work together on earth. There are three rules on the earth. Robots must not harm any humans and humans must not allow robots to harm. Robots must obey any humans' order, unless that order conflicts with the first law. Robots must protect itself, unless this protection conflicts with the first and second law.      While and after reading this, I was confused and wondering what would happen to our world if something happens in this story occurred in reality. This book is such what makes you think like this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Asimov, Issac. (2006).  I, Robot .  Engla nd: Macmillan Readers.
